Get a Core 2 Duo processor. Something like E6600
Intel have Quad Core out btw (QX6700)

Best bet is to head over to www.hardforum.com, tell them your budget and what you need the system for (video editing? games etc). They will tell you what to get.

ya was going to get a duo core. wasnt sure if the D was better or not. i am behind on hardware. (d was more expensive)
