traffic trading discuss

is traffic trading realy worth it?

seems to me that you are just jerking your surfers around:- a surfer clicks a pic on tgp site (a) expecting to see a gallery related to that pic but instead is redirected to tgp site (b) this possibly happens again transfering him or her to tgp site (c) etc etc how long is it before your average porn surfer is totaly pissed off and starts looking down diffrent avenues for their porn.

you have already taken them away from your site via the traffic trade so the chances of getting a sale is minimal from that particular surfer, even if the link did open in a new window said surfer already knows you jerked him/her around and probably wont click links on your site again.

i can totaly see that this is a valid way to build quantity of traffic but shurely QUALITY counts over QUANTITY any day.

i may be missing the point some where along the line so please feel free to enlighten me with your thoughts!

Yes, it is the fastest way to build quantity.

Quality? that is debatable. While bookmarkers may be productive and click a lot, they aren't neccessarily going to be willing to pay for something, however, a horny surfer getting bounced around might just break out his credit card to end the madness.

its just one way to build traffic, it's less roductive than some, but still valueable

but what are the chances of said surfer breaking out his/her cc from one of your aff links if you have traded them away to another site?

i still think pretty minimal!

a good way to get good traffic to your site is trading with CJ sites (sites that only send traffic to other sites) because then when the surfer reaches your site he will be very happy to bookmark it!!

About the same as that of a surfer that was sent to my site from somebody else'

depends how much you are skimming to other sites, and the quality of the trades. trading with sites than skim a lot wouldnt be right for you, sites like sublimedirectory send me good traffic, elephantlist, videopost, all top quality.

and have been around for years

so abc traffic trading is the key ie i trade traffic from my site (a) with site (b) not my site who returns my trade to site (c) again my site but with no traffic trade.

is this possible and if so with what script?

The surfer is more likely to close your site and click on the thumb again, then do the same for the next couple of clicks before giving up. Traffic from CJs is very low quality because the surfer want to see the gallery.

There are a few CJs that send productive traffic... I think the key is that you have to have a quality site with high skim to content. I have been seeing pretty good results from sending the first 2 clicks to galleries + 65%... but obviously a new site with no traffic and few bookmarkers can't do that
