when making blogs with wordpress is it better to use your own host and or domain rather then theres?

Well, having stuff on your own domain ensures you can run the blog for years...but on the other hand, a subdomain.wordpress.com can easily get you a top 10 google listing for popular search terms in a week if you now how to do it.

It works for mainstream, forget it for adult, most adult blogs hosted by them don't last a week...for adult, you need your own domain and hosting.

stark - thank you for that! going to do mainstream for now anyway! didn't know if i'd get listed on search engines with a personal blog.....is there anyway to read SEO with blogs in order to get good PR?
