I am not sure how most of you feel about people stealing your copyrighted content and using it on their MySpace profiles, attempting to pass themselves off as someone they aren't, but it pisses me off and I've had enough. I go to great lengths to protect my brands and my copyrighted material, including registering everything with the Library of Congress in Washington, and to have my complaints ignored by MySpace really pisses me off. After trying to contact MySpace several times both through their copyright violation form and phone, and getting no response and having no action taken, I am prepared to spend some money and take legal action.

I would like to compile a list of other webmasters who are tired of seeing their content stolen and reposted on MySpace, while MySpace ignores requests to have it removed. If you're interested in teaming together to fight this or don't mind my attorneys mentioning your name, company or site in a complaint, please post in here or email me at [email protected].

I laugh when someone uses a picture of a girl I know personally and tries to add me. lol Tons of people do that on there, and ya it sucks... :disgust

I am not asking anyone to help with this financially or anything like that, all I am asking is that if you have a similar problem with your content being used on MySpace and aren't getting any response from their people, I'd like to be able to mention you as "a list of other webmasters/content providers having the same problem" type thing.

I don't understand why no one cares about this. I am not asking anyone for money or donations or anything like that. Do you all really care that little about the integrity of your brands that you won't take 5 minutes to do something?

I would be personally heated. The chance is slim to nill, but you should try and get 10+ people and file a class action against them if they do not remove the content. Might work out in your favor.

Every time I have dmca'd myspace the content is taken down quickly. Now I put my own content on there and get sales from it :)

This sucks. I had someone using my copyrighted stuff on Ebay. Used their DMCA form and got it taken down in less than 24 hours.

btw...copyright infringement is $150K per violation + court costs.

We have no problem with them removing profiles using our girls pics... So maybe they just don't like you...:pimp

have your girl take a picture holding a fansign that says her official myspace url and email it to myspace and they will delete any fake profile urls you send them
