Okay, now I'm trippin'...

I have been enlightened. And it's freakin' me out.... What kinda fucking coincidence is this that I would do up a pic that is damn near identical to some fucker I never heard of! me: http://www.opticalamplitude.com/stuff/amplitude2.jpg this other guy: http://www.opticalamplitude.com/stuff/rollins.jpg this is just too fucking bizarre man.... :glugglug |
as much as i hate to say this.... you look much cooler than mister rollins.... he looks crusty(er)
|
i would have assumed you knew who he was. definite similarities.
|
dude... I about fell off my chair when this link was sent to me..... I've never heard of this guy before, let alone seen his pic..... what are the fucking odds of this happening? Is this some kinda sign or something? :eek7
|

What about Black Flag? Early 80's legendary SoCal punk band. He was the singer.

Henry Rollins is a punkrock god....he was part of one of the greatest and most influential punk bands of all time, Black Flag...long before this cutesy fuzzy MTV punk shit....I remember the joy of shocking my conservative classmates with their album covers...especially the one for "Family Man" http://store.artistdirect.com/Images...5066838450.jpg and the classic "Slip It In" cover ;) http://store.artistdirect.com/Images...502867267g.jpg |
i told ya you creepy fuck... He's got you beat on the crazy-o-meter though...
|

was never really into punk much.... (or at all I guess)..... was the more speed metal type. I just discovered this guy today..... guess now I gotta go listen to his stuff. |
AMP, if you ever watch Dennis Miller's show on HBO, the rock music they blast right before he goes to spoof the news is a Rollins Band tune.
Henry Rollins is also into "spoken word" type poetry/stand up. And he's been in a few movies, too. Al Pacino threw him thru a sliding glass patio door in "Heat". |
Damn, with PeteTheFly being a Mariners baseball star and Amp being Henry Rollins, we got some distinguished personalities around here ... I am proud to be a member of this board. I love ya'll ...

I hear you, I don't get too much TV time myself - but do yourself a favor and see the movie Heat
Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and many other good actors are in it. And it has lots of violence. I know you enjoy that, AMP ;) |

I think your tan is getting a little carried away.....stay outta the sun for a while bro.
|
I remember seeing Black Flag live in like 82, one of my first shows (I had a great dad, my first three concerts were extremely early Metallica, Elton John and Black Flag) and I remember Henry Rollins getting so worked up, he popped himself in the mouth with a microphone and was bleeding all over but just kept on going...kinda like me when I'm sorting porn content......
|
|
he was an underground doctor in that scifi movie with the black tremor disease caused by computers..... fuck.. with weiner reeves.. johnny pneumonic thats it.. and he was a cop in some action flick.. he makes a fucking good onscreen cop.. he's got that air of "fuck you" authority and the hard chin to match..

I have seen Rollins speak 3 times, twice in new Orleans (House Of Blues) and once in LA also (HOB)
His books are a good read. His music his good, his band is really great especially the basist and drums... all around good band. Nonetheless, Rollins watched one of his friends get shot in the face right in front of him in his early twenties, he is in his late thirties I believe now. I know he is around the same age as Ian MacKaye. (Minor Threat, Pailhead, Fugazi) Hes straight edge though, which sometimes is a bit unfriendly with some lyrics. He is openly against alcohol and drugs. Straight Edge. X. hehehe Openly against even putting aspirin in your bloodstream, no caffiene, no pollutants of any kind. Anyway, im ramblin now, damn Coronoas... hearing his open word is alot different than seeing his band, both are cool though. And any guy with Misfits tats is okay with me. :winkwink: |
hey fletch ill send u that email tomorrow when
1. my damn pop is working hopefully 2. when i figure out which site im promoting, didnt think that far 3. im not stoned |
