Henry Rollins is a punkrock god....he was part of one of the greatest and most influential punk bands of all time, Black Flag...long before this cutesy fuzzy MTV punk shit....I remember the joy of shocking my conservative classmates with their album covers...especially the one for "Family Man"

Henry Rollins is also into "spoken word" type poetry/stand up. And he's been in a few movies, too. Al Pacino threw him thru a sliding glass patio door in "Heat".

I have seen Rollins speak 3 times, twice in new Orleans (House Of Blues) and once in LA also (HOB)

His books are a good read. His music his good, his band is really great especially the basist and drums... all around good band.

Nonetheless, Rollins watched one of his friends get shot in the face right in front of him in his early twenties, he is in his late thirties I believe now. I know he is around the same age as Ian MacKaye. (Minor Threat, Pailhead, Fugazi)

Hes straight edge though, which sometimes is a bit unfriendly with some lyrics.

He is openly against alcohol and drugs. Straight Edge. X. hehehe
