How do you do this in Photoshop?
 

I was looking at the new epassporte icons and wondering how to make that kind of relief in Photoshop. Any experts?

I just made this one. Not sure if it's something like this you had in mind, but I realized that I have too much time on my hands lol

gradients? and simple text icons?

looks like they created a circle shape, went to blending options then bevel and emboss change the bevel, then set an inner shadow

if your talking about the icon next to the text which i'm guessing you are

That's just a simple (and horrible looking) emboss... using a down direction.

Personally I think it looks a bit old and 2001 :) lol .... But that' how it's done. Quite simple really.
