EVERY and I do mean EVERY cybercafe and hotel I've
ever been in China had a computer with a floppy and
it was wide open for use. Dumb bitch, rather than
whining, why not pull out the photos and relive the
experiance to write it better the second time?:helpme

motherfuckers removed the ability to check pop mail also. it was useful for checking emails from my old isp accounts... they had some feature in place where you couldn't log into the mail server unless you were on their dialup connection. of course, i couldn't get into the previous isp through my current dsl connection. somehow i found that it was possible to get around this with hotmail.

bastards made that into a paying members only feature.

Damn that sucks... I've been using hotmail since '99 and still using the same account. Sad to hear that.

what ever happened to a fucking diary and a pen? if she had illusions of being a great travel writer (blargle) she should have at least had a note pad or some such thing... i can't imagine how awful yet another 20-something traveller's obligatory "experience piece" would be.. let alone one culled from emails sent to friends.. *yawn*

yeah i was going to suggest that.. but a $2 pad and pencil is more reasonable at the very least than a $2000 laptop :)

im guessing someone using hotmail to tell her friends how fun it is in thailand and hoping to make a buck off it to get into "travel writing" prolly hasint got the sort of money to waste on tech gadgets..
