out in the next hour. I know they don't really mean anything but I enjoy it all anyway. After the nominations come out I have to then make a list of the films that haven't come out in the UK yet and try to see them all in the next month.

Ha...on many days I am only a girl where it counts but I love film and enjoy any chance to to talk about ....and the oscars is the one time I enjoy bitching about clothing. I mean, what is it with these famous women forgetting to wear bras under dresses that really need them?

Strange best picture list...Babel, Departed, Letters from Iwo Jima, Little Miss Sunshine, The Queen

The critic, Mark Kermode, is as near I have to a media crush. Yes, I am a strange woman.

My beef with The Departed is that it was a good film BUT all the major scenes were near direct copies from the original Infernal Affairs. Can you win best director for simply copying another directors direction?

Why isn't Borat in the Best Picture category? :pimp:

it is nominated for adapted screenplay...it isn't in best picture because there is still some justice in the world
