man i feel really unmotivated and lazy. how can I change this?

I just got home from work and want to get straight to working on my sites, but the past 2 days I have not done hardly any work at all. Sales are coming in fine, rebills are rebilling.

But I have just lost the will to keep slogging on. :helpme

any advice as to how I can kick myself in gear?

I better stop smoking that wacky stuff :1orglaugh

Get all of your bills out, then plaster them around your desk.

he lives with parents

the only bill he has to pay is probably 20 bucks per month for his cell phone

Dirty F 01-22-2007 01:11 PM

Just keep looking in the mirror and think of the money you need to make to pay for that operation. That should motivate you for sure.

slap yourself in the face a few times to get the blood flowing and get back to the grind stone. or don't do any work for a month and see where you're at, that could be motivating too.

Take some Siberian Ginseng

not only is it crazy good for your health, but it also lifts up your mood and helps you think better!

Mediachick 01-22-2007 02:06 PM

I just went trough a sadistic home-detox that involves eating only organic fuit+veggies, nuts, veggie broth (home made) and organic herbal teas. NO processed food, no salt, no sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol or anything slightly chemical.

The 3 first days were TERRIBLE-couldnt sleep, head aches, twisted guts and all... After that, I felt cleansed, refreshed and very energetic. If you're up for it that 7 days diet is good to wash out the holiday's junk out of your body.

ok... in all seriousness, its quite simple. you need to find a reason to be motivated. that sounds simplistic, but its true. if you don't have a reason, be it passion for what you are doing, or a burning need to achieve some goal or whatever it is that you can allow to consume your thoughts and drive you... then you will most likely remain unmotivated and accomplish very little.

you keep asking a question that only you can answer. it seems that you aren't old enough to be really pressured into dealing with life in the way the rest of us are. you are not thinking about homes, family, cars, the future etc.

if you don't know why you should be motivated.. then nothing said here can help you.

you even found excuses not to succeed... your friends arent around, you are blaming laws that don't exist for destroying a network of successful sites you dont have and so on.

you're just a kid. relax. you sound immature and should be for being 18yrs old. one day soon... maybe in 1 year.. maybe in 2, life is going to walk up to you, punch you right in the mouth and knock you on your ass. when it happens... you'll think its unfair... you'll think its cruel but only then will you start to understand that you have to get your shit together to provide for yourself, take responsibility for yourself and rely on yourself.

Even if the concept of money doesn't interest you, set yourself financial targets. Your site is nice, but there's lots of content to be added (many links lead to 404 pages). Don't only sit behind your pc, but go out, work out, whatever. If you spend all your time behind your pc you'll notice you're working extremely inefficient.

I spend quite some time behind this monitor but I can't say I'm working. I'm making more than I can spend now but as everything is automated I'm not really motivated to do much.

If you have found something that works for you, find out how you can streamline and simplify it, then replicate and delegate it to others, so you can focus on creativity.

E$_manager 01-23-2007 06:25 AM

You have to wish something material. Some beautiful car for example. And start working for it.
Or a trip to some hot place...

There's no money in porn. You should quit.

Quit your normal day job, focus 100% on this. That should motivate you enough to make more cash in this game...

your afraid to drive because two friends died, well I guess as long as someone drives you around then you are safe because only the driver dies. Everyone else in the car is always safe. Now if it is a plane that rule does not come into play, You want to be the one flying the plane then. I do not have stats for a bus so stay away from them until more studies are finsihed.

Nothing wrong with being 18, it's not your age that makes you a kid, it's your attitude.

I'm a mother, run my own business, have a house and family to run and I have several future prospects lined up that could be rather promising. I'm still 18.

I have to think of family, housing, bills and my familys future etc. As I've dealt with that since I was 13 - mind you I'm not your average girl. I grew up a long time ago. But just to show that your age means nothing, it's the mind in the body that counts.

Naughty-Pages 01-23-2007 07:39 AM

I run into the same problem quite often..

My main issue is being on a roll for awhile.. then somehow dropping into a rut where I am not doing any work at all.. (Wasting my time on forums like these LOL... seriously)

The thing is, in our business, if you do things right, after the initial work you do you'll have income coming in for a long period of time without doing any work...

If I am getting $7,000+/month without doing anything it's easy for me to not be focused on doing work...

Problem is, that doesn't last forever.. crap one time I got so side tracked that I was only working a couple of hours a week for about 8 months.. over time, that monthly income dwindled.. 7k, 6k, 5.5k, 4.5k, etc.. got down to about 3.5k before i realized i had a problem and needed to start working...

Then it was work work work 80-100hrs a week for 4 months shooting porn and working on sites to get back to where i once was...

and then the cycle repeats.. working only a few hours a week...

My solution?

Wellbutrin XL. 300mg once daily

However at your age, if you're still at home, you should make some goals.. How about buying a house?

I mean if you're living with your parents, you've got very little in the way of expenses.. if you just socked away a few thousand a month for a year, you'ld have a good size down payment.. And I am not even saying after you buy a house to move out and live there.. why not buy a duplex and rent it out? Between the rent and throwing an extra 1k on the house each month, you'd have it paid off in a very short time.. Once that's paid off, buy another house, and so on..

The first house or two will take the longest to pay off, but after that, it's a snowball effect.. by taking the rent from the ones that are paid off and using it to pay off the new duplex's each mortgage time will be cut in half exponentially.. within 10 years you could easily be a millionaire...

By having a goal like that, it keeps you busy and focused..
