PR3 ...is it worth mentioning when selling domain

I'm not experienced with the googe page rank thing and was wondering if saying "this domain is PR3" is even useful to the seller.

starpimps 01-22-2007 12:02 PM

yes it is

INever 01-22-2007 12:03 PM

PR4 is "impressive", 3, not so much.

HouseHead 01-22-2007 12:04 PM

Anything supporting a sale is useful, if be sure to mention it!

woj 01-22-2007 12:21 PM

you can probably include it, but it doesn't increase the domain's value much...

RawAlex 01-22-2007 12:25 PM

PR3 isn't terrible, certainly better than greybar or 0.

xenilk 01-22-2007 12:27 PM

It's "okay" :) I'd mention it in a sale.

interracialtoons 01-22-2007 12:27 PM

I just had a thought.

Any buyer that knows what it means probably has google tool bar and will simply type the domain in wether I mention it or not.

I guess the question is should I say "PR3 domain" in the listing to get attention to the domain.

yeah but if the buyer doesnt know what PR means (i doubt it) and doest have google toolbar installed, then you mentioning it might spark interest and put more value in the domain for that buyer!

bdld 01-22-2007 12:56 PM

while it's not impressive, the more information you give about the domain, the better.

interracialtoons 01-22-2007 12:58 PM

Thanks all.

PR4 is a fucking joke you moron.

VeriSexy 01-27-2007 10:42 PM

it is a positive so yes

EscortBiz 01-27-2007 10:50 PM

def mention it heck almost everyone i know selling a name says pr3 on the way to pr4

Why 01-27-2007 11:35 PM

pr3 aint shit. its not going to get you more then about 10 bucks extra. we have literally hundreds of pr3 domains. when they are all 5s and 7s... ill let you know. :)

96ukssob 01-27-2007 11:39 PM

what helps more (IMO) is the # of links in, and the number of pages cached on google and yahoo... and maybe msn

madawgz 01-27-2007 11:41 PM

yeah you should mention it

FOLLOW UP:

After 5 days with no bids or "watchers" I added "this domain is PR3" and within an hour I had 2 bids and 2 more watchers. Could be a coincidence but I doubt it.

Like someone said; PR3 beats PR0. If a buyer has domains that are all PR0 then in his mind PR3 is step up.

venus 01-27-2007 11:57 PM

what would you look at when buying a domain name, the PR or the amount of unique hits its receiving and where those hits are coming from?

I don't think it would make or break the sale; but it's just one more small thing that supports the sale...

It doesn't matter what I would look at because I'm not the one buying it.
I'm selling it.
