You should create a template letter for us to copy paste, that'll speed up the process :)

Other people have already done that. Personally, I think form letters would be taken way less seriously than individually written opinions.

ICANN doesnt care or know where you are from....

each single letter - they probably dont read it too

what should matter is that they see that lots of webmasters are against .xxx

it's not that your single letter will convince the whole ICANN board that .xxx is something bad... well.. unless you send them some of your pics :winkwink:

more info about .xxx can be found at www.fightthedotxxx.com or in the thread linked in my signature

I just wanted to contact you to tell you that as an adult industry worker, i do not want to see .xxx domains.

I believe firstly that the cost of implementing such a domain at a proposed $75 per name, would be bad for our business. How will the many legitmate business's that operate thousands of domains cope with this incredible tax?

Secondly, i feel that the domain will be used as an excuse to regulate the industry further. There is already enough regulation. Indecency laws and 2257 etc all protect children. Registrars will shut down any business offering underage content and the adult industry ourselves widely support ASACP.

We believe that we are doing a great job at self regulation and that we do a great job at working in-line with all the external regulations put upon us. We also have heavy regulation by VISA who have a list of strong rules about who can and cannot process credit card payments.

In short we are regulated enough and taxed to death by the Government already.

Further to this, we already have warnings on our front pages that alert people to the nature of our websites.

We dont need .xxx and we dont want .xxx.

Im willing to bet that you have not recieved many, if any, emails or letters from inustry workers in support of this proposal.

Simon Meech
Hope thats ok.

polish_aristocrat 01-27-2007 05:29 AM
