She said Thursday she was distressed by this season's premiere. "After watching that show, I was afraid to go to the grocery store because I wasn't sure the person next to me would be able to differentiate between fiction and reality."

Fox aired a commercial in which the show's star, Kiefer Sutherland, urged viewers to keep in mind that the show's villains are not representative of all Muslims.

He must have missed the other seasons where terrorists have been everything from Eastern Europeans, to Mexicans, to American Presidents, etc. And considering pretty much every war and terrorist act in the world right now is involving Muslims, gee... is it really a stretch?

I stopped watching 24 after season four because, frankly, I was tired of watching the exact same story every year. How many frickin' times can you watch Jack Bauer save the world from stereotypically evil Third World terrorists? I know last season was supposed to be its best ever, but was it just the best variation on the same tired old theme, or was there actually anything new or original that they offered?
