so am i , and not only that i paused the video counted twice and still only found 3 , i thought it was a trick or something.. i asked my woman to look and she was like " uhh theres six". haha im such a moron. I even took my finger counted them , one two three , yup only three..

I HATE these tricks haha i'm gonna have to give my brain a workout today to teach it a lesson.

I counted five, I missed the second 'of' ("of years OF scientific").

Got 6. So why do alot only see 3, cause of "of" mostly?

yah i have seen trick questions like this before it has to do with your subconcious thinking of "of" as "ov"

i dont get how people get 4 or 5. seems to me if you see the f's in "of" you will get 6 if yo dont you get 3 , i dont get how you miss some of them. but then again i only got 3 the first time so lol

i usually do pretty well at iq tests so its suprises me i didnt get it even after pausing and checking.. not quite sure this is the best "iq" test , but it certainly measures something.. guess it shows i lack in detail ?

I counted 6 F's, 9 I's, 4 N's & 7 S's, then it switched to the final screen.

I comes down to a basic and simple deal: most people read quickly and allow our brains to fill in the short words (we don't actually read them each time). Therefore, a cursory scan of the page shows 3 letter Fs, because there are only 3 in words with more than 3 letters in them.

It isn't an IQ test, it is actually more a test of the speed of your reading (if you saw 6, you probably read slowly!).

wtf i counted 4 the first time.. then i paused it the second time and counted three... after a couple of times counting with a finger i got the final 6

Nice one. I found all 6. Was at 3, but then I guessed there'd be more so I read it again and got all 6 the 2nd time around.

I've seen that before.

It's based on the fact the people actual read with effeciency.
Meaning that a sentence like :

"A dog is a animal"

is condensed to

"dog is animal"

The article "a" is just "filler" in the thought process and when someone
scans a sentence they are not looking for filler, but instead looking for the
most important information.

In this test "of" is the article that is over looked.

But, if a dumb MoFo who can't read has to read each word to understand the sentence the he is most likely to actually count all the "f"'s.

The real test of intelligence in this 10 second test was :

"Did you have enough brains to click the pause botton and fucking cheat"?:1orglaugh

Anyway, my friend was all freaked out cause he counted 3 and was getting everyone to try it and couldn't believe it when I got 6. He thought I was a genius.

I let him believe I was.
