Adbrite/AVNads - opening Ads in a new window?

It's always pissed me off that adbrite ads do not open in a new window..

I hate traffic leaks like that... I'd like to put their ads in better positions on our sites, but I don't want to lose traffic.. (i.e.: on our toplists putting their ads at the top of the pages would effectively kill the lists altogether)

So I emailed them today and this was their response:

Thanks for writing. Opening ad links in new window is not officially supported by AdBrite. However many AdBrite publishers has successfully modified AdBrite code to open links in new window. I would suggest browsing the directory for publishers that utilize the modification and look into the source code for implementation samples.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
... well shit ya, i have further questions! Why can't you just tell me how to do it instead of my wasting 3 days looking through thousands of advertisers codes??.. LMAO!

(so much for customer service LOL)..

anywhoo.. i have been looking through other advertisers and googling around for awhile but still haven't figured out how to do it..

Anyone have any ideas?

put their ads on an iframe and in the source page put <base target="_blank"> in the head

if its the stretch ad, and not a set size just put &newwin=1 at the end of the javascript source code and it should work, if not, i have a solution that lets you completely modify the look of the ads via javascript i can hook you up with for some $$$
