For scheduled airlines, RNO (Reno)...

Reno, for sure, and it's the easiest way to get into Tahoe. Less chance of snow closing the roads getting into Tahoe.

SouthWest has a ton of flights to Reno. Delta flies direct from Atlanta. Flights from SFO are limited. If you need to fly into a large airport as their is no direct flight to Reno the best choices are San Jose, Vegas and maybe LAX.

Reno it is, unless you know somebody that can land you into the smaller airport in Tahoe....

No, the closest you will get is Buffalo, got some friends in Canada ;) made that trip about 6 times last years :)

U can fly chicago midway to reno direct on SW now.

Haha, this year that won't be an issue. It is like spring up here. Highs in the 50's and almost 0 snow to speak of. There is literally less than 2 inches around most of the lake.
