yes it is accept the C class is only a 4 door. So a 3 series coupe would be the CLKs competitor while the 3 series sedan is the C class competitor.

Starts at 34k. pretty cheap for a benz.

the c230 starts at 30k. thats like... really affordable

it does look like S class

I think the C Class is the direct competitor for the BMW 3 series. I think BMW wins. The E class vs the 5 series, the E class wins, the 7 series vs the S class.. that one is still hard for me.

so if u have a E already... why not go for a 3 series beemer for the smaller sedan instead of a C??? Two totally differant cars will never get u bored. But I think if you have a midsize benz and a compact benz, youre not gonna see such a big differance in em. just a thought

i've never liked the c-class personally.I also don't like the 3 series.

I think both companies try to hard to push out something that is priced lower.

I have been a benz guy my whole life, and while they do make the best cars out there in terms of quality, I am moving to bmw. They just drive different, they handle better, the steering wheel feels connected to the road.

While I think the new c class is nice, i don't think it will be enough to ever edge out the 3 series.
