Fact: Green Tea will help you lose weight.
i lost 10 lbs in the past 8 days from drinking 4 - 5 cups of green tea/day.(without no diets or working out).If you do the same i will guarantee you will be slimmer.
|
did you lose weight from peeing a lot?
|
That's a lot of green tea drinking.
|
id suggest mixing in some decaf green tea
|
If that's all you drink..everything in moderation, cut back on the carb intake
|
Green tea is awesome! I drink a few cups per day of different types of hot tea as well as diet (0 cal) iced green tea with ginseng by Arizona. Of course you still have to work out and eat a healthy diet to achieve a significant weight reduction but the caffeine in tea helps curb hunger between meals and the antioxidants are good for you anyway.
|
Drinking water 5 tims a day will work wonders also.
Its the SUGAR people put in their tea/coffee that keeps em at the level. /Drinks tea multiple time a day. But I like my sugar and that's why I don't lose weight :) |

Why? Green tea only has about 20% the caffeine of a cup of coffee. |
FACT: green tea does not make you lose fat.
10 pounds = 35000 calories. you are telling us that you ate normally and somehow magically defied the laws of physics and mysteriously dispensed with 35,000 calories of stored energy by doing nothing at all. suggestion - get a calculator... do the math. then get a grip on reality. |
well... actually, i should clarify. caffeine is a diuretic which causes you to piss out water. caffeine is also a mild appetite suppressant which could potentially result in some reduction in total caloric intake. your body however, quickly adapts to the effects of caffeine (usually within a couple weeks)
saying "i did nothing different and lost 10 pounds in 8 days" is not possible unless it was from dehydration and suggesting it was fat is a silly suggestion as it does not explain how the 35,000 calories were burned. |
I drink every day green tea, but I do not think that you can lost wage with tea
|
"New evidence is emerging that green tea can even help dieters. In November, 1999, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published the results of a study at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Researchers found that men who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo."
It may not make you lose weight, but it can lower your cholesterol. It's also really good for the immune system, your teeth, and many other things. |
you are what you eat...
|
I can loose more than 10lbs. by fucking 4-5 times a day :-)
|
I used that method 3 years ago. It realy helped. I also did jogging at that time.
|
I drink green tea daily. Usually 5-8 cups. I like it hot or cold, but I don't like sweet drinks, so I can't stand any sweetner or sugars in tea. Ick.
I only drink water or organic herbal teas. |
are you only drinking tea and not eating anything else?
R |
If you substitute it for your regular coffee you'll lose even more and be a lot healthier.
|
well, I guess i'll order some right away
|
Green tea is known to reduce your appetite, hence the reason you probably lost weight
|
or just cut out anything you drink, i stopped drinking everything, and just water, i lost 2 notches in my belt from doing that

Actually, 10 pounds in 8 days isn't "impossible" because we don't know the starting weight of the claimant. If the starting weight of the claimant was 110 pounds and he claims he lost 10 pounds in 8 days, we know it would not be possible. However, if the claimant is 340 pounds and loses 10 pounds in 8 days, well then, that seems (obviously) a very possible scenario. Really fat men can sweat off 6-10 pounds of water weight in one workout. But, they need to be REALLY large with lots of fat. That is the secret. Really big fat guys can sweat off 3% of their weight in a workout without any trouble. Doing nothing but sweating can lighten their load 6 to 10 pounds. |
drink a few cups a day, lightly sweetened with honey, it's good stuff :thumbsup

a few cups of green tea a day does not have enough caffeine to cause any real dehydration... caffeine is only a very mild diuretic (sp?). as a metabolic stimulant, its not only not very effective on its own, but the human body will start building a tolerance to caffeine in only days of consistent ingestion. so saying "i did absolutely nothing different in my life and just drank a few cups of tea a day and lost 10 pounds in 8 days" is either not the complete story.. or its a fabrication. |
guess it's different for everyone..

Ok i will go into more details how i dropped 10 lbs. in a short time (and no its not impossible).
Green tea is known for speeding up your metabolism, which means you will burn up calories a lot faster than normal so drinking it right after a meal is key. One thing i did change was my eating habits.Instead of eating 2-3 big meals/day,i changed it to 5-6 small meals/ day because that also really fires up your metabolism.Just think of your stomache as a fire, now if you throw in a big log,you will put the fire out so you must put in small log every 2-3 hours to keep the fire burning ! My weight ? well i started the green tea drinking (oh btw its decaff) when i was 210 lbs and i stand 5"11 and now i am down to 200 lbs.Im probably going to keep an eye on my weight for a while to make sure i dont lose too much too fast because im not sure if thats too healthy. Now just to prove that the green tea really does work,i did an experiment into the 4th day.The morning i ate a big breakfast of bacon and eggs and washed it down with GT.For lunch i had a big greasy cheeseburger, fries and also coney fries (Fries with Chilli on top). and washed it down with GT. Dinner i had a huge ass plate of lasagna, breaded chicken breasts, dessert and so on,once again washing it down with GT.Next day i step on the scale and i didnt gain any weight at all and i know for a fact that from what i ate the previous day i would have easily put on 2 -3 pounds without the GT! Now reduce your calorie intake and try to eat decent healthy foods and you should be all set. |
lets clear up some myths.
1) green tea is suspected to have some effect on metabolism. its not claimed to work miracles and conclusive proof of anything is lacking... which is odd for something thats been around for many centuries. what you are claiming is basically a miracle. you couldn't lose 10 pounds in 8 days by snorting a quarter oz of cocaine daily (if you were still eating the same before and during). 2) eating 5-6 small meals a day does not "speed up your metabolism" - "metabolism" in the sense that its used in these discussions is just a word that describes breaking down food into energy and nutrients. your metabolism speeds up in direct relation to how much you are eating. eating two large meals will generally cause your metabolism to spike and fall (you crash) in accordance to need and additionally, the total volume of food will usually not be metabolised resulting in fat storage (depending on the breakdown of what you are eating). eating smaller meals simply minimizes the risk of food not being able to be metabolized and "supports a faster metabolism" when accompanied by increased physical activity. it doesn't turn your body into a "furnace" that just consumes anything and everything you eat, simply because you started grazing. you still have to eat right, you still have to keep your caloric intake in check. 3) you go further to claim that you ate a retarded amount of calories and even an obscene amount of calories from fat with no negative consequences. i can't believe someone even needs to have that explained to them. look at it this way... lets assume "green tea speeds up your metabolism" - well... so does ephedra and other thermogenics and metabolic stimulants. why can't you take ephedra and eat chili cheese burgers and nachos for breakfast and lose weight? because obviously the fat has to be burned for energy and no amount of stimulants or supplments will compensate for a super dose of calories from fat. even the most powerfull, legal thermogenics make almost no difference for weight loss if you are not already eating well and training hard. 4) now you are saying "decaffeinated" which rules out its effects as a metabolic stimulant as a result of the caffeine... which pushs your claimes even further from the relm of believable. you are saying "i burned up 35,000 calories in 8 days" - that means that at 210, you were eating probably 3000 calories or so per day (you don't exercise) which is 24,000 calories in 8 days and some how managed to burn a total of over 4000 per day (all the calories you ate, plus an additional 1350) ... which is basically starving yourself to death and put your body in a perpetual catabolic state, causing major muscle loss. the only realistic way you could have lost that much bodyweight is through serious dehydration and lost water weight. you generally can't lose fat that fast without significant muscle loss. there is just no way you lost any significant amount of body fat by drinking tea. and just no way you lost 10 pounds of body fat in 8 days by drinking tea. it completely defies the laws of physics. |
