Good video camera for POV..

Whats a good video camera for shooting POV scenes? I currently shoot with the Canon GL2 and it's way to close. I don't really want to get a wide angle lens for it because all the ones I've tried vignette. So I'm looking for a good quality camera thats small and easy to handle that naturally has a nice wide angle lens on it. Any suggestions?

Very nice.. Do you use a wide angle lens on it or no? Do you have any samples shot with it? Thanks..

Any others?

look at the panasonic 3ccd cameras. they're inexpensive, the quality is good, and they're small.

It may not be the "best" but the Canon GL2 is light and very easy for POV. Has pretty good image stabilization, good lens and fairly small. My favorite POV cam without a question.

I have a VX2100 and I HATE it for POV. Too long & too heavy.

I'm currently shooting with the Canon GL2, the lens isn't wide enough for POV IMO.

For sure it is!!! Play with it, we have shot some bad ass POV content with that cam. Plenty of room, and I do not even have a wide angle lens.

I have no idea how much shooting experience you may have, but I do suggest you play around more with this cam, move it around, move it back, lift it up... this cam WILL work for you. It takes some playing around in general to shoot good POV.

the 2100 works great for POV as well as the HDRFX line from sony.. big cameras but the bigger it is the easier it is for me to stablize it... plus the handle make for great tricks when filming yourself

That could be true.. I have experience in shooting but just recently started messing around with POV. Can you hit me on ICQ I have a few questions for you if you have the time.

Agreed i have used the Sony 2100 but i think the Canon GL2 with a ultra fisheye lens is the way to go!
