Anti Virus- Anti Spyware Etc Etc - what do you recommend ?

Hey need to buy the whole set. Privacy, spam, spyware, virus protection etc. for a friend of my mum.

What company do you suggest I should buy?
Nortons, Macaffe any other?

What works best and most easiest for you.
As in the interface - the interface is got to be good as its for a nOob.

thanks in advance.

I prefer Norton. It's worked great for me so far!

i use ZoneAlarm and antivirus: NOD, but I don't surf porn sites :)
no problems, I installed the same on my GFs computer

For a Noob I'd go with Microsoft One Care. I have been using it on my computers and it's working great. You can download it for 90 days free. It's very easy to use.

avg is pretty good for anti-virus, and it's free too

kapersky & f-secure seem to be the top 2 recommended according to web-geeks

norton works fine for me, but the newer versions seem to take up a lot of resources and really slow you boot time

I'm running zonealarm internet security suite .. like it because I can customize everything

includes antivirus, anti-spyware, identity theft protection, operating system firewall, network and program firewall, IM protection, parental control, auto-learn etc...

Thanks so far, the woman i am talking about doesnt care about the cost. as long as its not thousands then thats cool. no free stuff.

So really its got to be a well known company that charges because of their quality.

Then go with windows live onecare. it's $50 bucks and super easy for people who are idiots on the computer. I have it so my wife doesn't install viruses etc on my computers. It works great and she's never confused about stupid little popups asking to allow programs. It's very straight forward.
