i highly doubt anybody does, I have never heard anything good about GoDaddy hosting

We ran a secondary website on GoDaddy hosting and never really had a problem.

got domains with them, but no hosting.

I tried them for hosting once about a year ago and cancelled within 3 days, control panel and things you could do on the backend was too limited.

I was thinking of using them just for hosting thumbnail galleries and that's it - I want to take advantage of their cheap bandwidth.

Has anyone used them strictly for TGP's / MGP's?

Thanks

Chris

I have used them for some simple blogs, just because if you sign up for like two months of hosting you get the domain cheap.

You'd have to be crazy to do any business with GoDaddy.com.

If memory servers me their TOS prohibits adult content. Not to mention their support staff is retarded. Yes I called them retarded. I told the guy that I needed temporary SSH access so I could tar/gzip the files so I could move a clients site to my server. They guy actually told me that he had absolutely no clue what I just said and contacted level two support. Then the level 2 support guy said no they wouldn't create a tar file for me but would sell me backup services that would cost me $120. Oh did I mention that I would not have access to the backup and that it could only be used to restore the GoDaddy account.

I don't think they allow adult :2 cents:

If you're looking for something cheap and don't care about uptime or quality of service, just go with Dreamhost or 1&1.

If you want a real host, go with Phatservers.

I've been with Dreamhost for a little over a year now and haven't had any problems with uptime or service.:2 cents:

I wouldn't waste my time hosting with them. There are alot of better hosting providers.

Yes they do I talked with them over the phone and told them what I was doing, zero objections. THeir TOS is the exact same as namecheap.com. So for registrar they are great and have excellent dns management controls, way better than 1&1.
