Using oscommerce as a 3rd party shopping cart?

Basically, I want to be able to have a link where I can send users to from a non-oscommerce site which automatically adds an item to the oscommerce shopping cart based on its oscommerce ID. Example, when they go to http://www.mypage.com/oscommerce/add...p?productid=10, it will show the cart with product 10 in it. Willing to pay for the script if its too much work.

here you go

thank me later

product_info.php?products_id=PRODUCTIDHERE&action= add_product

so, here is an example shop

http://www.specialeventlinens.com/

take this product

http://www.specialeventlinens.com/pr...089b093cb40d92

so, you do this

http://www.specialeventlinens.com/pr...=add_prod uct

Why would you use OsCommerce without actually using the front end? You're getting all the security leaks with none of the functionality, basically the worst of both worlds.

Jace 01-17-2007 03:13 PM

ok, so if the shop is here

http://demo.oscommerce.com/

this is a product

http://demo.oscommerce.com/product_i...?products_id=1

then you would use this code to add directly to the cart from off site

http://demo.oscommerce.com/product_i...on=add_product

tested and working

mkx 01-17-2007 03:13 PM

Because I have some sub sites 100% html based for more exposure to the main oscommerce site.

Jace 01-17-2007 03:14 PM

the ONLY issue I can see is that it uses the form element to pass through any "extra" addons to the product, I am not quite sure how to handle that

BTW, having the actual cart in both php AND html, with all the tags, helps a lot...

With "keyword" dvd , I am #1 position ( out of 1,530,000 results ) on google ( after the paid listing ) ... never was that high before I generated the html catalog ..

Don't want to start a " my dick is bigger than yours " contest ...

Reminds me of the " Class C " ip's .....

$30 for the script. I am sure programming something into product_info.php or shopping_cart.php will help

Use ZenCart, they also have excellent board support ...
