What kind of fucking Scam is dis?
 

I just got this e-mail. Has to be a fucking scam...

Williams Meehoff , a national of your

development company Lome-Togo. On the 21st of October
2001, my Client, his wife and three children were
involved in a car accident along the Hillakondji
Express Road. All occupants of the Vehicle
unfortunately lost their lives. Since then I have made

several efforts to locate any of my clients extended
relatives, this has proved unsuccessful. After these
several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to trace his
relatives over the Internet, to locate any member of
his family to assist in repatriating the money and
property left behind by my client before they get
confiscated or declared unserviceable by the security
company, where this hug deposits were lodged.
Particularly, Security Company where the deceased had
a deposit value of $ 29 million dollars. The company
has issu! ed me a notice to provide the next of kin or

have the deposit confiscated within the next three
official working months. Since I have been
unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 7
months now I seek your consent to present you as the
next of Kin of my deceased client to enable us take
over the proceeds of this deposit value at $29 million

dollars be paid to you and then you and me will share
the money. I do not know if you are in anyway related
to him as your names are similar to his, even if you
are not in anyway related to him, I want to know you
will be interested to do the business with me. If you
are interested in this proposal, I will want us to
have a meeting to enable us agree on the modalities to

do the business and the sharing ratio and the method
to carry out the operation. Above all the meting will
afford us the opportunity to know ourselves and to

Hi I got a few of those letters to different email addresses, promising to give me a cut of their millions or whatever. I had a woman that wanted me to come to China about a month ago. She was paying for every thing. Man she must live in the sticks, as it would be like a 15 to 20 hour train ride after I got to China. I told her and her brother I would pass for the time being. She want's to get married. This lady must be really hard up. I told her I'd been married 4 times and she was still buying.. No telling what might happen to my white ass over there.

I may be wrong but doesn?t it seem strange that an attorney would be contacting you by email instead of a certified letter or something along those lines especially if he is in charge of a 29million dollar estate? I mean if he had the ability to get your email surly he could get an address? 29 million is a lot of money but I would be very cautious with this. Sounds kind of scammy to me. :winkwink:

I believe this what is called the "Nigerian scam" It has been running for more than a decade and people still fall for it. If you do some search you should be able to find out how many businessmen have been kidnapped and killed in that country. If you decide to give it a go, make sure you write your will :)

Are you an attorney? Just wondering. I do a lot of business by email too but something in the range of 29 million from an attorney, it just seems to me a letter on official letter head maybe even notarized or something would seem a little more valid in this case...but maybe it's just me. :thumbsup

I dont think it's a scam..I would send them some cash...i would send all of your money to africa.....Forward the email to me and I will have my accounts cleared and sent straight to the dark continent

This one is new but I get others that are similar. All involving banks or some type of political espionage. My resume is listed on a few business sites (old shit) and I got them there too.

LOL. this is a scam, I did get similar emails in the past. Its probably telemarketing, Amway or some shit like that. Tell Al Farouk to go wrap some shawarma's:) Also the idiot cant spell!!

those emails, and derivitives thereof, have been circulating for about 5 years now...

They spell it wrong on purpose to make you believe they are in nigeria.
