I've never drivin in snow and I'm moving up north soon.

yeah, no traction when on slushy icey shit. My hubby did a crazy 1 mile slide all over the a mountain road till we finally went backwards down a 20 foot ditch...beat the hell out of flying off the 1000 ft cliff .

I guess folks forget you have to pump the brakes in order to stop on icey roads.

I have never driven in those sorts of conditions, and damn I am glad!

Is that to stop the wheels locking or for some other reason? Most of those cars looked pretty modern so they've have ABS.

I'm in Portland this week and the drivers are terrible both with and without snow. They were playing various clips all day long of people crashing into stuff... it was hilarious.

Never lock the brakes. Just gear down and ride it out.

You won't have to stop if you don't get started. Please stay off the roads in the snow!

Be sure to go to a parking lot and practice, it also helps to have a manual transmission in your car (FWD is good too)
