Recommend me a cellphone

My phone just died. It was a real nice old Nokia 6610, which I used for about 4 years now. I was happy with it, its rather small and doesn't have fancy features that slow it down much, like these modern Symbian based Nokia phones..

I'm going out shopping, give me a hint for something relatively inexpensive (cuz I don't think that phone is a showoff), useful (can be used for going online from a notebook computer), and hold a batter longer than 3 days.

:helpme

Or basically tell me what you got and why.

java based but then im happy with it :) especially the 3.2 mp feature. goodluck in choosing

Sony Ericsson is slower. I like it when phone sort of "remembers" what I pressed, and does that sequence. SE phone "forgets" it..

I have an N80, but I dont recommend them if you live in the states, and need to use your phone as a modem. They can only access the web on the painfully slow, 2g GRPS phone networks. They are 3g capable, but only with the European frequencies. Otherwise though, the phone rocks..

Brad 01-16-2007 12:25 PM

I've had good experience with both Nokia and LG phones in the past, but I've never had a "top of the line" phone. I guess it really depends on where you live and who your provider is and what they carry.
