Seriuosly, though... Strongbox is Great, and Ray's service is second to none in my personal experience.

do you happen to know what hours are best to contact ray? I need him to check out my install after a server move to make sure everything works all right

Ali and I are always in the office 10:30 AM to 3:30PM CST Monday through Friday.
Other than that, it's kind of variable. I'm normally here until at least 5:00, then gone
for dinner, then back maybe midnight to 2AM.

I have just had strongbox fitted and it's all good, already caught a couple of scammers and bandwidth is down down down. I had Pennywize for the last 4 years and it did a job, but Strongbox so far has proved its worth.

Go get it straight away.

You'll find that almost all members will access your site from one computer only, their home computer. This is because people like to spank the monkey in a safe familiar location where they are unlikely to get caught.

So, in view of this, the old 'username and password' system would appear somewhat flawed would it not.

Use another system. Use cookies. Use IP recognition. Use hardware recognition. Get a clue, niggaz.

Running a pay site with no kind of protection like strongbox, pennywise etc, is akin to opening up a convenient store with no clerk, just a note on the counter that says "Please leave correct change" ;) Get some protection!

Check ALL sites running on your server. Make sure there isnt any type of backdoor. Look out for last modified files. Shells (backdoors) can look like .jpg .gif and so on. So they are pretty tough to spot lately. Also check all your applications running on your server for the latest exploits.
