Paypal webmaster payments

What advantage or reason is there to be paid your webmaster commissions through Paypal ?

ex.
You make $1,000 this week
They keep at least $30 don't they ?

You only make $5,000 this month
but, they get to keep $150 of it.

Why would you get paid through them ?

no waiting on checks or wondering if they're gonna come at all.... it's immediate. Kinda like Burger King.

I think it is more for the people making $100 a pay period. I would never want to pay those fees.

like anything else, you pay for convenience.

I would like to see more companies do what ARS does and use ACH.

All paypal does is add an extra step into the process and they charge for being the middle man and add a few extra days to the process...

Amputate Your Head 07-27-2002 05:15 AM

you know those fees are a write off right?

Paypals fees only come into play if they funds are funded from a credit card, or the payment is sent between people in different countries (1% extra).

Sponsors should be funding their account from a checking account.

If you have your own premium or business account you will cop the fees regardless but what you should do is set up a seperate paypal account on a different email address and receive those payments that way.

I wouldn't risk being paid by an unregulated bank. Didn't PayPal just freeze ARS's account the other day for some unknown reason? I know there's been a lot of screw ups for people who receive their payment through PayPal with ARS and I'd hazard a guess that it has more to do with PayPal then ARS.
