Project-Shadow 01-15-2007 03:14 AM

1 British Pound (GBP) = 1.95862 US Dollar (USD)

Uh.. no?

da man 01-15-2007 03:16 AM

from the long term view, it seem to suck..

v4 media 01-15-2007 04:01 AM

little bit, strong growth out of the US, so rates should be going up again = higher $$..

Remember the days of $1 = 1.25 euros, not the other way round. They were lovely...

cardinalvices 01-15-2007 04:35 AM

If you have a mortgage in your local currency ask your bank to get a $ mortgage and watch your loan disappear.

Unless WW3 breaks out the $ is going down and so will your loan.

E$_manager 01-15-2007 06:25 AM

Good news, but i can't believe it's for long

1000 dollar is about 750 euro right now, if it was stronger (aka 1:1) then I'd have 1000 euro

King Adam 01-15-2007 08:30 AM

Dollar will start increasing. Since Democrats have the house and senate, we won't be wasting as much money as we did before so are lute will be worth more.

CDSmith 01-15-2007 08:32 AM

1 USD = $1.16 CAD right now. Well... that's a little better than what it was a few months back when it was $1.10 or so.

Still got a long way to go to get back to what it was though. When I started cashing my first cheques in this business it was at $1.46, and it later rose to $1.55, then as high as $1.62+ for brief periods.....

So no, I won't be getting too excited over it rising a few cents.

BuggyG 01-15-2007 09:44 AM

hmmm.. not for me
down since last week

1 USD = 1.16817 CAD 1 CAD = 0.856038 USD :(

MintCams 01-19-2007 12:28 PM

I also hope it gets better vs. the Canadian $, for my trips to Montreal..... Great City

polish_aristocrat 01-19-2007 12:31 PM

1.29

not really stronger

he-fox 01-19-2007 12:35 PM

Unless US cuts its huge trade deficit, especially with China, I don´t see how the currency will strenghten. Getting weaker, yes.

tranza 01-19-2007 12:35 PM

It's just you.

:(

salesman 01-19-2007 01:21 PM

that are just your dreams, dollar will not get higher, not long term

Idigmygirls 01-19-2007 01:45 PM

Nothing in the markets goes up or down in a straight line, but long-term trend is down. I've diversified out of US dollars. One bad move and I think that currency could crash down hard.

buddyjuf 01-19-2007 01:49 PM

definitely just you
