Where should i buy my iMac?
 

Does it make a difference whether i buy a new computer at an official Apple store, as opposed to someplace like Futureshop or Bestbuy? Is the quality affected at all or is it basically all the same?

Not really; however I'd buy from Apple online and check out their refurbs - sometimes they're 20% off, have the same warranty, as is the Apple creed, have NO scratches.

price is same - better to buy from the Mac store IMHO - get much better service

I whole heartedly agree with this opinion. If you know what you're after then get it at the Apple Store online. Sometimes you can get crazy deals at MacMall. I bought mine via the Apple Store. No problems. Have bought several refurb machines. They all still work after years and years.

Know a student? Buy it with their discount. Thats what I did. :thumbsup
