Xbox, Wii, PS3 which is better?

Who has experience with all 3? Which is better?

I think Wii, and Xbox360 seem to have the most published games...
but man PS3 kicks serious butt....

flashfire 01-13-2007 07:00 PM

360 has the best games by a mile....ps3 doesnt kick but at anything unless you like reading the system specs which are slightly better but developers hate the system.

NemesiS876 01-13-2007 07:06 PM

I don't know, but i want them both

TimBlaze 01-13-2007 10:44 PM

XBox 360 > PS3

but I'd put the Wii in a little category of it's own :-\ you can't really compare it to the Xbox 360 or PS3

J. Falcon 01-13-2007 10:47 PM

I want to buy anyt of the 2, especially the PS3. I'm sure there will be much better games out soon.

Martin3 01-13-2007 11:02 PM

360 is the better of the two, atleast for now. Have to wait and see how the games on the PS3 are in the few months before you can really tell.

Wii isn't even in the same class has the PS3 and 360. Completely different type of gaming and can't really compare them.

Paraskass 01-14-2007 12:13 AM

360 is awesome.

Can't go wrong with Xbox Live

martinsc 01-14-2007 12:15 AM

i want all three of them....

Game selection: Xbox 360.
Unique, novel game play approach: Wii

PS3 will get better but for now the 360 is vastly superior (for game selection alone).

foolio 01-14-2007 12:33 AM

PS3 is better.

Bigger games (Blu-Ray vs reg DVD), plays all ps2 and ps1 games (well almost all, some have bugs - but still better than the few the 360 does and the hoops you gotta jump thru to play them). 360 has MASSIVE problems, even to this day where the PS3 has few.

Sure 360 has more games now, but they have been out for 1 year so I would hope so. And better games? Most are the same with a few standouts on each side.

If you do get the 360, get it from best buy and get the 2 year replacment plan because you WILL need it.

I had all 3, i sold my PS3, it was rubblish, a complete letdown to the PS2.

The Wii is my favourite of all 3 tho. It gets used the most. Just waiting on Nyko to bring out the wireless sensor bar so i can use a Wiimote for my HTPC navigation ;)

Blu-Ray is enough of a reason not to buy a PS3.

The "MASSIVE" problems you're talking about was from the first batch. It had to do with cooling and was taken care of more than six months ago. :)

I'm getting a Wii as soon as possible. I need the exercise.

Natural Cause 01-14-2007 12:44 AM

Wii Sports - Boxing is a good workout :P, did it for like 3 hours non-stop, so much fun.

TimBlaze 01-14-2007 12:50 AM

my Xbox 360 has been excellent and I usually find a way to break everything:upsidedow

I go with whatever system is the best, and XBox 360 is definitely the best this time around

travs 01-14-2007 12:51 AM

i'll go fo Wii coz i'm old school

The 'bigger games' thing is essentially one big lie and will bear no fruit for years to come. Microsoft has no intentions of creating games using the HD DVD format either, meaning that they fully expect that through the life of the 360 that it will be capable of storing 'next-gen' graphics on a dual-layer dvd. Those games that happen to be extremely massive will fit comfortably on two dvds. Titles that are dually available for both consoles at the moment look roughly identical on both consoles, with occasionally PS3 or 360 pulling slightly ahead in the 'looks' department. You would think they would have wanted to show off their ?bigger games? in the beginning to win over support eh?

They had planned to do hardware emulation which should have made it 100% compatible but instead (and to save money I think) they went the software route, just like Microsoft did with the 360. And like with the 360, that's why the PS3 has trouble playing some 200 PS2 titles.

Natural Cause 01-14-2007 12:56 AM

Actually the PS3 has a PS2 chip in it. It just doesn't do a good job of emulating a PS2. It makes the image quality look rubblish :(

I thought it would make the image look better :( Maybe it was just my shitty eyes, I always thought the PS1 games looked better on PS2 then they did on a PS1 LOL :upsidedow

I donno the details, i saw a video on youtube which has a PS2 game running on a PS2 and on a PS3, both recorded on the same tv, same stuff, then the person put the two videos together and put half and half so you can see a side by side view of it.

The game on the PS3 looked like absolute SHIT. Aparently theres a whole bunch of videos just like it.

As far as i know it emulates PS1 by software and it does PS2 by a PS2 processor + software.

Either way i sold my PS3, it's just not on the same level as the Xbox360, its got a lot of catching up to do.

heywood 01-14-2007 01:15 AM

I have heard bad stuff about PS2 games on the PS3. But the PS3 games are really nice. The Wii is fun to play but hard to get used to. Xbox 360 is probably still the best deal.

adultfora 01-14-2007 01:18 AM

PS3!
I read on www.gamevolume.com that the PS3 game-developeres can only produce games there are up to 10% of what the ps3 can do. So in 6 months or more you will se games there will kick Wii and X-360 to the curve.

Also that the PS3 use the Blueray tech. That will also be a major factor - because they developers can make some really big and resource-demanding games that never can run on the other 2 consols by disks
