Although they have no place or worth to our society,is death to easy of an out for these fucked up pieces of garbage?

I think death is the best thing for them but a slow painfull death.

as good as that may sound that hardly does any good. Might as well make them actually repay their debt to society and let them rot is jail. They should force child molesters into slave labour and use the money to counsel sexual abuse victims and such

A more suitable punishment is life imprisonment - in general prison population. These sick fucks are the lowest of the low on the prison totem pole and are regularly beaten and raped in prison. Usually resulting them being placed in protective custody units inside the prison. Fuck that, let them be tortured and beaten and raped by a large inmate named Bubba. Serves em' right.

on the contrary, real criminals even killers have some moral ground. To them Child Molesters are the worse of the worse, and usually these child abusers are punished by the jailhouse law. Why not make them suffer at the hands of other criminals, death is the easy way out

Well according to 'the statistics', about 1 in a hundred people find children (ie. pre-pubescent) sexually attractive. Not all of those 1 in a hundred give in to their urges but it just shows the scale of the problem.

I unfortunately cannot condone the death penalty but from what I understand child rapists suffer greatly inside prison (remember the one guy that got the little girl's name carved in his forehead?) so a life imprisonment should be a much better suited punishment than death anyways.

Think of it like this: They molest/rape a child. That child has to live his or her life with that knowledge essentially forever – that is, for the rest of his or her life he will remember what happened. Why give the guy/woman that did the crime such an easy way out when the child has to grow up into adulthood with the knowledge of what happened to them and presumably live out the rest of their lives with that forever locked in their head?

Make them, much like their child victims have to, ‘suffer’ for the rest of their lives in prison. Don’t give them an easy way out; don’t let death be their easy ticket out for the heinous crime that they committed.

It might have something to do with the fact that prison inmates are the absolute scum of the earth, predisposed to violence and murder, and they know that the only people lower on the totem pole than they are is convicted child molestors. Therefore they can sate their bloodlust and urge to torture and kill on these people with no fear of social repercussion, even in prison.

Kinda like when people used to get together and torture and burn witches.

I think someone who kidnaps, tortures and rapes anyone from 8 to 80 deserves to be locked away from society. I even find people who like hurtcore on their sites - choking, puking, abusing homeless people - to be pretty fucking disgusting examples of humanity.

Sure, the nature of the offense is repugnant, tho there needs to be an understanding of how that shit happens in the first place. Child offenders are our own family members, your lawyer, your schoolteacher - this is an offense which knows no class boundaries. It is also an issue where (more often than not) the offender was also a victim at some stage in earlier life - a member of his family or a stranger abused him/her (women can also be offenders and then abuse their own children, tho less common) - this type of offense is a vicious circle.

It is not unlike most other forms of abuse eg wife beating - people "learn" how to beat and dominate others - more often than not they have a history of learning about abuse as victims.

It's not entirely a total co-incidence that a high percentage of individuals jailed for violent offenses were abused as kids - tho they may not have specifically committed offenses against children, - they just selected another group to abuse.

There is an increasing danger of problems resulting from child abuse - there is no doubts this offense is rising substantially and increasing thru generations. The victims then perpetrate similiar offenses against other children and the vicious circle gradually widens.

The damage this causes in any society is enormous - some victims never commit offenses but can have baggage they carry with them the rest of their lives - and this can affect their whole outlook on life and cause other mental issues.

There are exceptions, some folks are just what can be described as evil and where there is no hope. With the majority - they are the result of the society they were raised in - Dad abuses his daughter etc and the cycle continues. Blaming is the easy part - addressing the problem seriously and breaking the cycle of abuse is much harder. Obviously offenders can't walk the streets, - but it's more than that - the victims (and the offender) also need worked on/monitored/supported to get some normal balance and dump the abuse element, else the scenario repeats itself - time and again.

They are a kinda different breed - there are some exceptional cases of what can only be described as pure evil. There is little that can be done with em. Most people are not in that league - fortunately :)

Yes that would be forever. I don't think we need to torture them forever as that makes us little better than they are, but I also believe that once you brutalize and murder someone you've lost your green card when it comes to being around other people.
