Our primary overflow hotel, the Courtyard-Marriott, sold out all blocks of time for the forum dates about 4 hours after the Mission Palms sold out?

Actually, I am beginning to smell something funny here... is someone wandering around booking up huge amounts of rooms? 45 minutes to sell out the primary hotel and 4 hours to sell out the secondary is impressive beyond any logic. How many rooms total would that be?

Actually, it makes me think of the the first couple of shows for INternext Miami... hotel sold out really fast... and then th cancellations started piling like mad. Both years I got rooms less than 1 week ahead without a blink, on a hotel that had been sold out from almost the start.

I am wondering if maybe a program or two rented a whack of rooms for their top 10 or top 20 affiliates? That would eat stuff up pretty quick.

Mark would NEVER play this card, and I know he may even hate for me for tabling it, but for those that know him he is an awesome guy and has been around for a long, long time and goes to every Phoenix Forum.

He also travels with a friend.

Mate, if I had a room at the Mission Palms or the Marriot, I'd just give it up to you bro, but I don't.

note - next year ccbill should limit the amount of rooms any one person can book too one or two - not sure if they already did this but if they didn't i can bet lots booked like 10 rooms which is just wrong.


ccbill may have to even take over the initial reservation list next year
