Just watched "Children of Men"
 

What a depressing movie! But goddamn, utterly brilliant! Recomended!

I watched it tonight as well - It is the most amazing movie I have seen in a few years. I really recommend it to anyone. Torrent it cause the DVD version is out right now.

Children of Men is fucking awesome. A thousand times the mess that Pan's Labyrinth turned out to be. You should watch CoM alone for the single-shot action sequences.

I agree. I saw it 2 days in a row, the second time was even better. Caught lots of little things I missed first time around.

The one where he is getting shot at and runs into the bus... then into the building.. gets the girl... ALL OF THAT CRAZY BATTLE SHIT IS ONE SHOT until the black dude turns around with the gun.

I thought blood diamonds was more touching. Blood diamonds is based on reality, Children of men is a good image of human nature...

It's a great film. It was directed by the same director of the City of God.

It was a brilliant movie and other than the ending the movie gets an A from me (which is VERY rare this now days). The ending pulled the movie down a bit to B+ status (still good by any stretch of the imagination).

Charlotte's Web was good.

I didn't watch it but i'll do that in no time!!!

I thought it was long, drawn out and rather boring. There were a few pretty cool inner-city fight scenes, but for the most part I almost fell asleep.

Another positive comment on the movie.

best British movie in years...not everyone will like but I really did and as odd as it sounds consider the apocalyptic setting the portrayal of London streets before things start blowing up is the more realistic I have seen in a long time (ie no soft focus, snow that never happens, etc). It certainly wasn't uplifting but in the same way that films like Schindler's List don't leave you smiling but are certainly good films anyway.

The Brits are putting out some good flicks right now. The Decent was pretty damn good too.

I am a big fan for single shot sequences and CoM was packed with them and done so well. The Baftas have pissed me off by missing it out...so wrong.
