blue-ray vs hd dvd
|
Blue ray....
Better format, has greater storage capacity, downloads faster. |
HD dvd can be used with X Rated content..
|
now that blue ray pissed on porn and its more expensive it will lose. Betamax was a better format and it lost to VHS
|
LG just released a player that plays both at CES. So both may survive.
|
HD due to its compliance with XXX :thumbsup

HD-DVD just announced 51gig triple layer disc's aswell

I guess HD DVD.

HD-DVD. Sony said no porn on Blu-ray (which they did with the Beta Max as well). Now with the industry backing HD-DVD, Blu-ray can kiss its ass goodbye.

I have both. The only movies I've picked up so far on Bluray are ones that aren't available on HD. If the movie is on both formats, the HD ones are usually $5 -7 cheaper. Same goes for the player, though both of mine are hooked to video game consoles. I doubt I'd have either at this point if not for that. Too much to really factor in here, but I going to go with HD being the winner.

HD DVD will win. The only thing Blu Ray had on them was 50GB of storage vs 30GB but they just announced the 51GB HD DVD so there goes that. Plus within the next week or two, they are announcing a huge price drop in HD DVD players - going down to like $350 vs. the $800 price tag on the Blu Ray.
Also, guys at Best Buy say they can't keep HD DVD players in stock but BluRay players are easy to get. The LG dual player may be the only thing that saves BluRay IMO. |
I was going to go with Blu-Ray, but now that I see that Sony is shooting itself in the head and hasn't paid one tick of attention to the past and the effects of Porn on video formats, I am gonna have to go with HD-DVD now.
