The news is too recent for an article.

I'm sure journalists are writing them up now.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Abu Dhabi Television reported on Friday that seven American soldiers had been killed and 14 injured in an ambush at a U.S. facility in eastern Afghanistan.

U.S. Central Command in Tampa, Florida, said it was unaware of any such ambush or of any U.S. casualties, and that such reports should be treated with caution.

The Abu Dhabi television report, attributed only "Afghan special sources," also said four U.S. soldiers had been kidnapped from Bagram, site of an airbase near the Afghan capital Kabul used by international forces.

The station gave no further details of the location of the U.S. facility. It said two U.S. helicopters had been destroyed in the attack. No immediate independent confirmation of the report was available from U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

U.S. soldiers are stationed in Afghanistan as part of a U.S. campaign to root out Osama bin Laden's Islamic al Qaeda network, believed to be responsible for last September's attacks on U.S. cities and a number of attacks on U.S. forces.

Haha, sounds like a load of shit to me. Those guys can tell some good stories. To hear them tell it, they're beating the hell out of us in battle.

Bigger news, perhaps, is the rate at which soldiers are killing off their wives at Fort Bragg...about one every 10 days.
