cams.com - per order or perentage

Which one is betteR if any?

anne 01-11-2007 05:34 PM

As with any cam program I would go with a percentage program. You will earn more money in the long run. However if you want a quick buck and dont want to wait 3 to 6 months to get the same return then go with the per sign up.

Its up to you how you want to get your money. However personally for me if its a site i know is going to stick around for awhile I always go with percentage :)

StarkReality 01-11-2007 05:47 PM

Long term revshare is better for any cam program, no matter if 20% or 30%, it adds up, many people reorder several times...you wouldn't want to miss a whale who spend a few thousand bucks :winkwink:

The average use will make you about the same money you get for PPS, sometimes a little less, but the big spenders make up for that...but don't expect too much the first week, it builds up slowly, but steadily.

While you are at it, may I refer you to my sig? :)

DateDoc 01-11-2007 06:00 PM

you must like losing traffic to zango if u r using cams.com

Elli 01-11-2007 07:21 PM

Anne took the words right out of my fingertips :)

We always recommend percentage if you're in it for the long term, as the average user will spend hundreds of dollars in his lifetime. If you want a quick hit, though, then go with pay per sale.

If you have any other questions about cams.com, please feel free to contact me!

For Cams.com, I recommend the rev share.

The long term profit is much better.

:)

cams.com provide RSS feed for blogs?

eZe 01-11-2007 08:46 PM

we provide an xml feed of who's live with an image link.

We are also
- spyware free
- payout 30% on our rev share
- and don't use cookies to track recurring sales.

BSleazy 01-11-2007 08:59 PM

If you have lots of traffic go for %

if you don't...go for pps.

Juilan 01-11-2007 09:34 PM

Guess I have a different opinion: test each traffic source you have on both for a quarter and go with what makes you the most money over that time period for that particular traffic source.

Then you're only testing the short term results. To fairly compare, I would say keep a close eye on the confirmed free signups and the number of sales in that period, then project them over time.

starpimps 01-11-2007 10:18 PM

per order for sure

I see your point 4 months, is not a year of tracking. I go for the 4 months becuase the nature & behavior of a traffic source could change over a year.

jesus fucking christ. how many companies can spam a thread that has a question aimed at us

anne 01-12-2007 05:13 PM

I only was trying to help someone deciede between per sign up and percentage

It's a must to inform about the behavior of AFF and cams.com as the company behind does not tell the affiliate that they take a part of their traffic for themselves. They had all the time in the world to drop Zango by now!

Alternative honest sponsors not using scum ware must be mentioned every time AFF and cams.com are discussed.

Good. I do have an easy question. When will cams.com stop popping up in front of my landing page with my affiliate code, and the code changed to one of cams.com?? That's zero percentage for me!!
