I Don't Get This School Shooting Video

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bc528d540d

Not sure if this has ever been posted on GFY, but this was my first time seeing it... The video claims to be from Columbine High School when those kids killed everyone. In the video you see them killing people and stuff and it looks way too real. You can even see the discharges from their guns.

I watched the first 5 minutes of it and was speechless.

Then I remembered that the shootings occurred on Hitlers birthday of April 20th and the time stamp on the video said it was May 1st.

(actual Columbine security cam screenshot)

So I became suspicious and looked up what Wiki had to say on the Columbine shootings. The time on the video above did not match up with the time on the actual screenshot I posted above. Wiki says the shootings started at 11:19 in the cafeteria and this video is obviously in a library.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbi...chool_massacre

But it still seems too real and creepy to be a complete fake. I cant imagine a school letting 2 kids film something like this with their security cameras... I am thinking maybe this is another school shooting... But then I search

http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0777958.html

and I don't see any school shootings like this that happened on 5/1/2001 - I dont know... What do you guys think?

JD 01-11-2007 09:23 AM

probably just media hype to make it sound REALLY bad ZOMG HITLERS BIRF DAI BLAME THE NAZZYS

MikeVega 01-11-2007 09:32 AM

I thought that was a video shot for a movie about the shooting and not the actual video .. I believe there was a thread about this a long ..long time ago

anyone recall that thread and what movie it was from?

SmokeyTheBear 01-11-2007 09:40 AM

that footage is from a tv show ( i.e. its a re-creation )

pornguy 01-11-2007 09:46 AM

That is some truly fucked up shit. I beleive that the one guy had a phone on him, and they was the reason that we could hear everything.

Milkmans World 01-11-2007 09:49 AM

I think the picture above is from the actual thing, but the video is a film made about it. I remember seeing it on youtube or something like that. Plus on the video at about 5min 20secs the words 'For promotional use only' move across the screen.

hzoltan 01-11-2007 09:55 AM

This was my first time seeing it too... so sad, that this really happened:Oh crap

Yeah I forgot about that part. I thought maybe it might be another school shooting that happened - But you are right - But what the fuck would this be used for?

the fact that somebody would take those events and then re-make them for TV or movies is almost worst than the original event

It was a clip from an independent film. Seen it last year. Can't remember the name of it. The school scene was the final part of the movie.

real or not, it shows some fucked off shit

Scottish Guy 01-11-2007 01:32 PM

This is when I think to myself why not ban guns in the us they are banned here (UK) and we don't have very many shooting incidents, We had one big one in Dunblane and after that gun laws tightened right up. I know that the guns used in columbine where illegal but your country has a gun fascination or gun culture

From my cold dead hands!

Seriously though, I don't like the idea of taking away rights just because of the actions of a small amount of people. Making penalties harsher for gun crimes would make more sense.

I think we have a good balance here in Canada. You can get almost any type of gun you want, but they make you jump through a lot of hoops to purchase a handgun, so not too many people own them. I think it is the handguns that cause a lot of trouble in the US, since they are easily concealed and people can basically carry them around with them wherever they want. Pretty hard to walk unnoticed into a bar with a shotgun or rifle.

cheekycherry 01-11-2007 04:54 PM

That was disturbing viewing.

alexg 01-11-2007 05:09 PM

guess it's a recreation... but good work figuring out it was fake...

notabook 01-11-2007 07:00 PM

Guns don't kill people: bullets do.
