That castle has been used in a lot of movies - including a few "Drac" ones :) Last year sometime it was given back to the real owner (was "confiscated" by communist regime) who is an architect. Suppose 73 mill leaves some spare back-pocket money....

It's unlikely Vlad ever lived there tho, but he did live not far from Castle Bran.

I was there in October .. it has NO relation to Dracula or Vlad Tepes (aka Vlad the Impaler) whatsoever. The castle, outside of it's looming situation, is far from spooky and has no dracula-related history inside. It looks like a pleasant home (as far as castles go..) and you won't find a word about Vlad or Dracula anywhere, except at the vendors outside selling Dracula's vodka :)

A much more interesting castle is Peles in nearby Sinai, which apparently is also on the market for (?) 70 million Euros:

last year they asked 1.5 mil but now they changed their minds...

They talk about 60 million euro for Bran castle, and 30 million euro (maybe) for Peles ... Both are beautiful and I visited them, awesome, I highly recommend them to you!
