HELP, i can only save in .bmp format
 

quick question, for some when i right click a picture to save, its only allowing me to save in .bmp format, how do I change this, it only allows me to save in a bmp no other suggestions...I noticed this 2 days ago, but I never had this problem before...im using windows 98 and internet explorer

first upgrade your browser, and computer to the latest updates (if you haven't already) then, try just shutting the brower down and re-opening and/or logging off completely and resigning on.

That's how I've overcome that problem. ... but that's just me, I'm sure there is a better way.

is that on all sites or just 1 site? try saving an image here. some sites have the images protected.

ON the real though, clear your temporary Internet files, while you're threre for sake of cleanliness clear your cache and all "offline temp files" and reboot.

That is not the problem. trust me - I run into this all the time. It is simple to fix:

1) Go to Internet options - under temporary internet files - click delete files.

2) Shut down the browser and restart the browser.

That is it. I guarantee it will work.

This also works if you can no longer view source.

You don;t need to reboot though...

i dont know what i would do without gfy...actually i do, i would be saving all my pics in bmp format then converting them in photoshop.

It amazes me that the two people before you did not have the intelligence to give the correct answer. I thought they were smarter than that.
