How long a normal man can do without sex.

The situation is: A good couple is expecting a child. She can't do sex with him because of the fisical problems. For about half of her pregnancy and 2 months after.
What are the most expected actions from the man: will he go find a prostitute or lover or masturbate or he will be fine without sex for more than half a year.

Your thoughts. What would you do?

Sexsitesurfer 01-10-2007 06:50 AM

Depends what the wife wants. If she doesn't want him to shag someone else they need to find an alternative acceptable to both.

Man cannot live on bread alone.... but that doesn't mean he deserves caviar!

sweetcuties 01-10-2007 06:52 AM

She should at least give him a bj or hj... for normal sex, prob 3 wks

Violetta 01-10-2007 07:00 AM

Mastrubate...

Beaver Bob 01-10-2007 07:03 AM

longest i've gone was a few months. i can jerk it if absolutely needed i guess.

martinsc 01-10-2007 07:03 AM

blowjobs and handjobs.....

cool1 01-10-2007 07:09 AM

I agree with the BJ or HJ
no reason it can't be done and if she is worried that he gets some pleasure and she doesn't well he can lick his way to her heaven no problem
I have 5 kids and never missed much sex during thier mothers pergancy.
of intercourse was out of the question for almost 5 weeks but that didnt' stop the sex play. For awhile it brought us closer than we had been before.

Nice saying :winkwink:

Then i'll ask: for a man a blowjob or handjob is equivalent to sex, better or worse?

sorry Cristie - but give it a fucking break !!

my wife and I just had our first child Dec 7 2006 - and there is one word that the male needs to realize and that is 'sacrifice'. If he is screaming that he needs sex or he'll die - then let him. If any man isn't strong enough to do without sex while his wife is about to give birth, then she should start looking around for a real man. Whats next for him? If she gets sick and can't perform he threatens with having an affair? That's complete bullshit.

A man can go a long time without sex - months if he has too even years - he is too selfish if he can't hold it in his pants while she is going through the most painful and wonderful time of their marriage and her life - giving birth to a child. A man needs to be aware that he will be lower in priorities - but that does not give him the right to go out and screw around - this is his child and he has to learn self discipline. Both parents need to know that now the child comes first before either one of them.

My wife fortunately has taken time to help out in certain ways as I have with her through mutual stimulation so that both of us are looked after - but this is not the time for either one of us - this is baby time - sleep etc. must be sacrificed in order to look after it. The wife needs as much sleep and peace around her or the milk will go sour in her breasts, threatening her with having an affair will only add more stress to the mom and baby indirectly. Tell him to grow up, be a man and realize that now as a father, the sun doesn't rise and fall to either of them anymore.

stickyfingerz 01-10-2007 07:20 AM

Barring what was said in the post above me... :winkwink:

No longer than 1 day. Anymore than that and the guy should leave his wife.

I kid I kid. Give him a free masturbation pass/time if the girl isnt feeling to into pleasing. Most guys will be happy with that. But yes bj hj to keep his stress relieved would be good. We are on our 3rd pregnancy things going well so far. :thumbsup

First of all, take my congratulations with the baby born, TheLegacy.
Second, i wished all men could share your point of view and had the same way of thinking. This is the thinking of a real matured man.
To tell the truth this is a made up situation, but close to the truth, my truth.
And it is not that bad, as it may seem. My husband understands everything , is very nice and we had already had baby 6 years ago, so this is not new.
I was just curiouse about the way men can react on not having sex for a long time. What possibilities there are that i have to take into consideration.

:1orglaugh true true.

that is exactly what needs to be done. some wives don't realize when husbands bring this to their attention that 'if they don't get sex they'll die or have an affair - that they simply need it', need only to reply - "thank god your not going to jail for more than a week"

if they wife has the strength then yes bj, handjobs is more than sufficient, hell - the guy can masturbate while looking at his wifes new boobies!!! But overall - jerking off if she simply isn't in the mood is the best way - keeping in mind that he shouldn't be trying to make her feel guilty about it.

thanks stickyfingerz :thumbsup

thank you Cristie for the warm thoughts.

It scares me that your coming to gfy to get a man's perspective when most of these guys are just out of school and have ego's larger than a expected mothers tummy.

I was a bit harsh to the answer simply because of that fact - I have talked to couples in the past where the man is manipulative and only looks after himself during this time which at times ends up by him threatening the woman with leaving or ends up at a strip club before showing up at home. :disgust

pollacks 01-10-2007 07:38 AM

He will go and find a prostitute

4Man 01-10-2007 07:48 AM

No he will go to some disco and find a girl...

King Adam 01-10-2007 07:48 AM

I would hope that she would still take care of her man in some way. If she doesn't than she shouldn't be upset if he gets is fluid release from another.

WarChild 01-10-2007 07:50 AM

Can you take your terrible grasp of the English language and your overall annoying personality and fuck right off? K thx.

So very true! I agree with ya. Something must be sacrificed. It is a test of marriage.

TheLegacy's advice notwithstanding:

Half the pregnancy plus 2 months is just over half a year. If the guy is getting good luvin' before and after that, he'd be pretty dumb to risk it, dont ya think?

As for how long a man will go without sex depends greatly from person to person, relationship to relationship. If you have a healthy relationship with someone, then understanding is part of the package. If you have communication problems, well, those are powder kegs no matter what.

7 fucking years??? were you in a coma?

_Rush_ 01-10-2007 01:26 PM

At the risk of sounding like a girl, I'd say that sex is not only about penetration. You can really find out a lot of creative ways to satisfy both parties.

If you ask me, penetration is the most dull and repetitive activity there is. Sure, it's fun for like 5 minutes, but I'd rather invest a lot more time in the rest.

SxDx 01-10-2007 01:39 PM

not too long. i just jerked off twice while typing this message

daisyswank 01-10-2007 01:43 PM

Give him plenty of BJs and HJs and jerking off where ever he wants is OK, and he will go the long haul.

Well, the original question (and board topic) was mostly about how a man reacts to the situation, but you have a point. If the girl can't because it's physically difficult, but still really wants to do it, it's certainly an issue. But there are some things people mentioned here, like masturbation and oral that apply to women as much as to men. It may not be penetration, but it's still intimate.

BitAudioVideo 01-10-2007 02:52 PM

testicles can explode after 4 days, be warned.

is there something wrong with the woman's mouth? :winkwink:

or does being preggers effect the mouth too? or what about a hand e hand job? or does pregnancy mess that up too?

Sometimes its not even the penetration that is an issue but the orgasm... but I do agree there are other ways to be intimate. However it's sad that the inability to have sex during a pregnancy seems to be seen as just a problem for men :2 cents:
