some crazy canadian plans on launching a 1000 ft banana into geostationary orbit over texas , so it would be viible day and night..


somehow i dont think this will happen, would be cool to see though.

A geostationary orbit is about 22,000 miles above the equator not 12-31 miles above Texas. :error

I doubt it would even make it up to 12 miles but I would love to see them try. :thumbsup

yahoo got it wrong.. if you look on their site they say 30-50 km above the equator

No reason really , if they even come close to succeeding its quite obvious its just a ploy to piss off the u.s./bush. Im no bush supporter but this does seem a bit silly , but hey i havent done anything to actively help , at least it brings some attention ( to what i dont know :winkwink: ) ..
