My Back is fucked

I have been with a personal trainer for the last 5 months now doing really intense weight sessions and cardio and been on a very healthy diet apart from the Mc Donald?s last night lol.

Anyway the other morning I did not get to bed until 5am and had a session at 11am, I knew I should not have as I was so fucking tired, I picked up some weights and crunch my back was in pain, I have never had back pain in my life, it hurts to walk or move.

I went to see an osteopath this morning and he did wonders, but it is still sore, should come good next week.

Who wants to shoot for me tomorrow, I cant even bend down lol.

arrg ya that sucks. I blew out a cartilage back in 99 and had a cyatica sp bah nerve problem for years. If your leg or arms go numb get it checked out mroe extensively. :2 cents:

I never had problems either, but all it takes is a wrong shift to trigger it..took me 2 weeks to be able to move properly

Ultrasound massage can be helpful for back pain.

If instead you opt for traditional massage to make you feel better, I recommend the full release style.

I ruined mine years ago carrying kegs around the pub i worked at. Ended up having to see a physio for 6 months and i had to wear a girdle. It was such a good look...

I'll shoot for you, just send the girls and the camera up to Brisbane! ;)

Try some Calcium and Magnesium at night. It helps to relax your back muscles.

Back problems are the worst.

I smashed 2 discs years ago playing, of all things, Gridiron !!

Got speared in the back by a pulling guard when playing middle linebacker.

STILL causes problems today.

Sucks big time.

:-(

Sounds homoerotic.

Dude, take some pills and have a few drinks and call it good already.

Translation: Be a man.

Maybe if I was playing last year, and even when I was huge the belly NEVER flopped like that.

But it did give me a smile ;-)

When I was playing, I was fit, and I DO mean fit. And fast. Still am fast actually - just ask the black pimp I chased down the street in Toronto last May, or Derek and Z and Mario who struggled to keep up !!!

AND I was 100lbs heavier then ;-)

:winkwink:

Prior to a workout, a good rest is recommended.

E$_manager 01-10-2007 07:30 AM

Poor you! i feel you because i have the same problem now. The only difference is that i can walk and move but it hurts.
I use warming cem on the back for the night. It smells awful but it helps a little. In the morning it is better. I also ask for massage my husband but he is not the best at it. :)

pollacks 01-10-2007 07:34 AM

Try to go in a massage center and let the girls massage your back..

It will ease the pain..

And make you smile..

4Man 01-10-2007 07:46 AM

Have a fast recovery....lol

I was yanking your chain, as I am apt to do. In the last photos I saw of you, I can tell you are big, but also solid. It's the same with me and tennis. I don't look like a tennis player off the court, but once I start to play, my opponents realize that I am going to give them a match.

Thanks for being good natured about it...

Hope you feel better.

Just remember, ALWAYS stretch before you workout. You'd be suprised how many people I see come into the gym and just start their workout. You can decrease injury by more than 50% if you stretch before you start.

WarChild 01-10-2007 08:44 AM

I used to have back problems from a few car accidents, but it hasn't bothered me in over a year. Since I started working with a personal trainer actually. I noticed you're doing that too. Do you do lumbar exercises along with abs?

I might add, learn to stretch properly for the type of workout/activity you will be doing. Believe it or not, many people injure themselves stretching, as odd as that sounds.
