ePassporte can keep all of your money, any time they want ;)

Yup, it's in their terms :)

The Terms and Conditions have changed.

Account Closing Service Fee. If Your Account is closed by Usand there are funds remaining in Your Account, We reserve the absolute right to charge Your Account an Account Closing Service Fee up to the balance in Your Account.

That says, if you have $5000 in there and they decide to term your account, for any .. or no reason at all, they're entitled to keep every penny.

LOL. Looks like they're pretty well prepared for an iBill, GloBill, MyVirtualCard type of cash out .. err .. CRASH out I mean.

"Oops, all accounts were closed 'cause we decided to buy an island .. and we have the absolute right to keep it all". :winkwink:

I don't know if it's one of the "changes" or not, but that sounds like pretty shady bullshit terms to me.

Otherwise, I've had reasonably Ok service from them, well, most of the time anyway.

LOL

Oracle Porn 01-09-2007 07:05 PM

Yea, no shit. That's 100% right on.

Oracle, you're right too. Same with Paypal, but due to some of the limitations, some people do keep a good chunk of money in ePass.

As soon as I receive a payment I have it cashed out within 2 days. I would never leave any money in there.

Methodcash Rick 01-09-2007 07:12 PM

I wire in our projected affiliate payments 4 days before payouts, and most of it is gone on payday, so the most in there during most of the month is maybe $500 or so.

Been with them almost 2 years, btu still not comfortable leaving money in there.

Masterchief 01-09-2007 07:12 PM

Why does anyone use ePassporte still? If i need to send someone money i can just jump on my bank's website and send a wire or have a certified check fedexed overnight. If they decide to fuck up, I at least have some recourse I can take :/

I'm the other way. I try to keep money in there because it's hard for me to load. Most, almost all, of the money that goes into my acct, someone sends to me. I use that to pay people, pay some of my house bills online, hosting, domain purchases and renewals, buy scripts, partner accounts etc.

Really? Wires and certified checks have always been non-refutable where I come from.

:2 cents:

Epass is not a bank account, don't keep a lot of money there.

Online processing is the easiest way to steal money, that's the first thing I learned in my accounting class.

Ssv 01-09-2007 07:28 PM

This is not fair. So if you have an account, your money will be lost because of their shitty rules!!!!Really not fair!
This means that every day you must worry about the politics of your country, just to keep your money, which you have honestly earned:mad:

4Man 01-09-2007 07:30 PM

They wont do this because they earn too much, and they don't have reason to take your money.

Please read the full terms and conditions

The only places we reserve the right to close your account is if:
You load your account with fraudulent funds, violate the Terms or Conditions, we are told by a court of competent jurisdiction or your account is compromised.

Why we reserve the right to close your account in the first 3 situations is a no brainer.
We also reserve the right to close a compromised account, because the card information have been compromised in these case the card holder will be asked to open a new account and we will transfer the funds there.

I hope this answer your questions about our Terms and Conditions if not please contact me with any questions you have.

Thanks
Michael

Isn't this pretty standard for most electronic transfers like paypal as well?
