Ya it's cingular, but that's only the phone part. I would still buy one of these even if I didn't use the phone, it's a video iPod and has WiFi built in with Safari browser, so you can do everythign you need except make phone calls if you don't want to go with cingular.

Great phone. Who knows when it will reach Australia, but I'll certainly grab one when it does. Good to have another big competitor in this high-end field of phones to.

They are certainly a hot piece of hardware.

I usually don't go for the trendy stuff, but that thing looks pretty tight...I might have to pick one up right when they come out...

it's GSM only - which is what the rest of the world uses and T-Mobile and Cingular use in the US.

I'm sure it wont take long for some hackers out there to unlock it, but you might not be able to use all the features with all carriers... like the browsable voicemail.

All other phones are now obsolete. If you haven't watched Steve Jobs keynote address in this product I highly recommend it.

Yea, I cant see Apple not going after the commodity phones... thats where the money is. Hell, even the cheap iPod Nano's are their biggest sellers in the iPod market.
