AVS - Is this anybody's main source of income?

I know AVS companies are still around and appear well. I'm sorry I mean "AEN" or whatever. Same thing... anyway... does anybody make their main source of income through AVS?

If so... how? Through building and submitting AVS sites?

stev0 01-09-2007 11:45 AM

I did years ago... But AVS internal linklists don't have the same traffic they used to.

I still get some sales, did 3 with sexkey yesterday... no idea where the traffic comes from though, but then again i never really did even when i was doing AVS stuff ;)

Our most successful affiliates have one or two sites, then spend their time generating traffic for them.

wdsguy 01-09-2007 11:49 AM

you are not gonna make money submitting avs sites and just getting traffic from their internal link list. Most of the big AEN guys have a couple sites that they focus on getting traffic to via tgp/mgp/se etc

NinjaSteve 01-10-2007 09:50 AM

Yeah I'm not talking about taking the traffic from a link list, I'm talking about making sales to an AVS/AEN site.

The good ole AVS days. It is what started me on my way to fortunes. Basically, there is no money in porn.

I used to earn the majority of my income from AVS's, this was about 6 years ago though. Still money to be made in them I think but the AVS sites need to be treated as paysites.

I use Proadult for years now, its not my main source of income but I still get sales and rebills. last time I submitted a site was about 3 years ago

Martin 01-10-2007 11:39 AM

Hey AVS guys. I was thinking of making a few AVS sites for each of my paysites coming out. You know try to get some upsells from the AVS site members area. I'm not talking half assed sites. I mean nice sites with good pics and full vids content. Think there is still sales to be made there? Or would I be wasting my time? I used to get sales from the members area of my avs sites all the time. Havent made a site in awhile though.

I used to bring in around $25,000 a month with adult check a few years ago. Sad day when they decided to change the way they worked, only keeping 100 webmasters. I was one of the lucky ones to not get the axe, but the site died a slow death once they made that decision.

I have two big AVS sites "platinum" sites with CA and then I have a few dozen smaller ones just to feed up some sales. The best way to get sales is to treat it like your own paysite. Submit galls and freesites to drive traffic. Once they sign up they rebill at least 3-4 times. I do monthly updates for each site, have some movie clips inside the members area. It is just like a paysite inside, but not that much content. You have to get the traffic yourself to the sites. If you just build sites and hope they get sales you will starve.

We have webmasters making a ton of money on both Sexkey and Mansites!!

If the site is done well, with interesting, or unique content, you can do very well making money to AVS systems. It is also a great alternative revenue stream on larger sites, as it's easy to give away passes to free AVS systems.

Definitely pick AVS's that have their own bonus content, video feeds, etc. This is also a great selling point on your own tours.

BigBomb 01-10-2007 03:26 PM

yeah... I'm doing very well with BXDX by promoting my avs sites on my MPGs
I'd say it's my main income source now

Violetta 01-10-2007 03:47 PM

never tried that... think it was slowly dying when I started out in this biz
