Okay what's the deal with AP
 

Hi,

I'm thinking of using AP, BUT I also heard a lot of complaints from webmasters, that say they don't pay.

They say that when you make some real cash that

1. your foreign traffic% is to high
2. well they find another way to cheat you.
3. your ratio is to low and they don't pay

I'm refering to

Are there any webmasters that get paid? If so,why are many webmasters are not paid. I mean most times there are 2 sides :)

If you're ready to talk about FACTS and some bullshit, post an account number so AP can reply. AP didn't get to be the biggest by ripping off webmasters.

Yeah, they are a huge company and have the trust of thousands of webmasters but they don't pay.

Let's be realistic, of course they pay their legit webmasters.

Wow, I never heard anyone even accuse AP of not paying before???

And I've seen all kinds of strange accusations by people not making money before. ;)

I heard the same things, but see plenty of people using them, so I did too - and they have been paying me over a grand each month and have never complained and always paid.

Pay Per Click is much more prone to fraud. People that have crappy traffic are much more likely to use PPC as they get lousy results with PPS. They might not even know how crappy their chinese hitbot senior citizen traffic is, but AP will and I assume that is what is happening.

All I know is they pay me - so I use them.

You won't find a single sponsor that people will not compalin about and accuse of cheating.

You also won't find any evidence (usually) of cheating by the sponsors. If AP really did cheat - you would see tons of people on here bitching up a storm. You already see people on here complain when their check is a day late.

I never got paid for February and March 2002 and i decided to stop promoting the program. I basically had a copy of smutserver's 404 on my freehost's 404, so there was no doubt about rules. Ratios went up and down quite irregularly, but the average ratio was about 1:650.

When i contacted the support, at first they told me that they dont like my traffic. After about a month of emailing back and forth i finally made them look @ the whole picture and they agreed that the ratio was 1:650, so they asked me whether i would want to continue promoting. I said that i won't unless i get paid for what i made. Neither did i receive a check nor any further response.

Whats your comment on that?

Amateur Pages has been my favorite program for about 3 years now.

The boneprone family would not use and promote em to webmasters unless they were the best.

If you go by the rules you get payed.
ITs pretty simple. Read the rules, then read em again, and then read em one more time, casue if you break em, you have no one to blame but yourself if you dont get payed.

And if you cheat, they will catch you.

So those that tell you they dont pay, and tell you they didnt get payed are cheaters, or jsut plain fucking stupid casue they cant read.

The fact that you are buds with people who have not been payed should be a concern.

i've used amateur pages for a while now. when i first used them like 3 years ago i got dropped because i fucked up my html code. of course they don't tell you about some small mistake so you can fix it, they just take your traffic until you ask where the cheque is. which is bullshit and why i don't send much traffic.

overal its the best per click program on the net and i haven't had a problem getting paid except for that one time 3 years ago.

Is AP down right now? My stats since midnight this morning are zero......?

well i just woke up and I'm cranky -- lots of work to do today, but i think everyone knows AP is one of the best programs out there... its a no brainer to sell on ANY traffic

I wished tracks were showing so I could see how much money I'm making Lensman but owell...

AP pays -- takes awhile to get your first check but they do pay!

I wonder if someone tells me on this thread that I've done something wrong, if so. I did post my account number up there as asked.

i am having a problem since yesterday morning, clicks are down by half, after this mornings outage they are still down by half comapred to the numbers snce the introduction of the new server, anybody else have this problem with the click pic program?

I would never use a program who don't tell you when/if they drop you ...
If you make some minor html mistake and they drop you because of that but still takes your traffic, they are the thives!!

Without a REAL? answer what does that mean? I saw your post and from what I can see you don't look to be breaking any rules.

Lets put all the marbles on the table here. Follow the rules and you will be paid simple as that. We have not run the largest per click program on the web for the past 5 years with out our share of cheaters. So we know how to find them. We have a high payout so that means tight rules. Many people try and skate around these rules and then try and bullshit us and say oh that was just an honest mistake. My reply... If I had a nickel for every time I heard that I would not have to work for Lensman.

What does it mean? Well, I asked ram a few things. I haven't pushed your program very hard, and I've never received a check from you guys. I've had a few banners up now and then since last november or so, I made around 10-30$ month. Also, I asked why the stats didn't show any activity before april, and did you do paypal payments.

you guys should tell webmasters when they are dropped tho. i can see just dropping a hitbotter. but when someone cuts and pastes the code from your site and you didn't have the height and width tag values in and the banners didn't show up in ie, at the time i used netscape only and didn't know there was any differences between the two. there's no reason not to tell the webmaster.

if you would have sent me an email and told me the banners weren't showing up and that you weren't paying i can live with that. i would have bitched about it because the code came straight from your site, but i would have understood.

Couple things here TeenGodFather.

We only keep stats back as far as 3 months. That has been the case since the beginning of AP. In the rules it says plainly that you must hit the min payout on your own traffic referrer money is not included.

Hi Eric,
I'm glad this came up.I started with AP in mid april, making 13.92.
In may I made 24.66 . My traffic was much better in June , so I should have made enough to get a check , but we all know what happened , and I kissed the 13.92 good-bye.
In July my traffic has increased again ,but , again problems . If may is counted at .04 instead of .06 ,I'll be short of 75$ by just a few $ and I can kiss may's 24.66 good-bye. So thats 40$ I lose .
I know that to most of AP's webmasters 40$ isnt much but to a new guy just starting out ,it hurts .
It doesnt seem very fair that given the problems of the last few months ,the smaller guy's like me , will lose out because of the 3 month limit. It's not my fault that some clicks were not counted.
I dont know what you could do about it , but ,man , it's frustating.

In my 4 years or so with AP, I have been missing only 2 checks.
They got lost in the mail or who knows. Both times
new check was sent to me, so I'd say the pay:thumbsup

Use it.
