Question for the techies

What's it take to run dual monitors? I've got an extra video card can I just throw that it in the box and be good to go?

Not quite that simple. It takes special software configuration as well.

I'd suggest you go by a dual monitor card and take it from there. :2 cents:

If you bought a new video card it should have two dvi or vga ports on the back [or one vga, one dvi]. I don't think you can get a new video card w/o two ports.

most new video cards have two ports... just plug them in and you should be good to go.:thumbsup

yea, just use the vga port for one monitor, then the dvi one for another, use drivers software to configure stuff... pretty easy to set up :thumbsup
