good motherboard/processor/videocard for gaming?

I want to upgrade my computer. Dont know what motherboard i have but i got an nvidia 6800gt-something videocard with 256megs onboard, and an AMD athlon-something processor supposedly equivilent to like a 3.1ghz P4

whats the best shit to get for better speed and graphics at a good price? Need to be able to keep my dual LCD monitor setup

Core2Duo processors are the current king of performance. Unless you want to drop some money on a quad core.

I went with this motherboard from Asus. There's quite a few out there, though. One of the actual Intel-based boards are pretty solid too. I almost went with the DS3 board from Gigabyte.

As far as video card... just depends on how much you want to spend. I went with a 7900 GS just because I don't game much.

If you get a new board you should prolly do a reinstall of your operating system as well.
