Hiring out property as a shoot location?
 

Can anybody point me towards some agencies for this please? Thinking about hiring out my properties for this short term while they are empty/between tenants etc.

Anybody had experience with this?

I have done this for mainstream movies, mostly one offs and "friends of friends". One of the things you will need is liability insurance, most companies won't permit you to use a space without it (they don't like the risks involved). Figure 1 million for residential properties up to gawd knows what for commercial.

You may have more luck finding private owners that just want to "see you make porn" that will let you have space for a wink and a nod.

Either way, make sure you get a location release signed (so that the location can appear in images or videos without legal comebacks).

You misunderstood slightly; I am looking to have people doing shoots in the apartments I have coming up free, Not shoot in somebody else's place. Maybe I could have phrased the title a bit better.

Mike, so same advice, but in reverse. Look into your local film industry (depending where you are) there will almost certainly be a local development company for films that will be looking for locations to shoot in. Set a rate, make sure the renter is insured, and make sure you aren't breaking any local bylaws, and you are off to the races.

Specifically for porn, well... depends exactly where you are, you can maybe try to hook up with local shooters or content companies.
