Fucking USB Keyboard I bought didn't come with a driver.... HELP!!

I've bought this keyboard a couple of months ago, and for some reason it didn't come with the driver and it's not working on my computer...

Can you guys help me out finding the driver??

This is the keyboard brand and model: C3 Model K-2001

I've wasted 2 hours looking for the driver and I can't find it anywhere!!

Oh, and it's an USB driver.

Thanks everybody!!

it should have worked even by just plugging it in. If I find driver I will let you know

Yeah, I know it should. But it's not. And I tested this keyboard on another computer and it works.

I think the problem here is that I haven't updated Windows in a while so I don't have the driver for this keyboard. I'm downloading all updates now, so hopefully I'll be able to use it, but I'm still trying to find the drivers.

hopefully that fixes the problem.

is there an option in the BIOS/CMOS to enable USB Keyboard support?

No idea what you just said there....

wyldworx 01-08-2007 06:05 AM

you should be able to install from your connection, shouldn't you?

LOL

using your regular keyboard to start with:

Boot up your computer and you will probably see an option to enter setup as soon as it boots up.. (typically the "DEL" button, but sometimes other keys are used)

Start Pressing the required button as soon as you turn on your computer and you will be brought to a setup screen.. somewhere in there they might be an option to enable USB keyboard support...

(don't be changing any other options in there if you don't know what you are doing)

there's no need to go into the bios to make the keyboard work.

To allow it to work outside of the Windows XP environment USB Keyboard support might need to be enabled. By doing that he may be able to determine if the keyboard itself is defective.. or it may allow the keyboard to work within windows xp if the USB2.0 drivers in SP were corrupted..

Some BIOS's you have to enable USB support for a keyboard...

Maybe go to your System Info. page, expand the keyboard entry(ies), and see what it's supposed to be using now. Save the info, then delete it then reboot. Maybe it'll then auto-recognize the device and install the drivers.

Heck if I know for sure, but if all else fails I usually go delete the device then try reinstalling either manually, or auto.

try switching usb ports..

What happens when you plug it in.. do you hear the "ding ding" or nothing..?

Keyboards are way cheap, just buy another one, otherwise contact whomever you bought it from.

it should be plug&play. but otherwise go to a site like driverguide.com and look for it. if it worked on another computer though, it should work on that one too. you could also try using one of those USB to PS/2 converters, it could do the trick. otherwise i'd throw that shit off the highest balcony you can find and call it a day.
