haha 4000 viruses on my momma's PC!
 

Mom called and asked to help her out with her computer. So I came over to check it out. It was acting very slowly and internet connection was nearly dead. I did check here and there, and everything seemed fine. But her PC ain't never had any AV software, I figured "Old woman will never go cruising for porn or hacking sites". Guess I was WRONG! Although I admit she didn't surf porn or hack sites she must've gotten some worms via email..

Lemme tell you something! After I installed Kaspersky 6.0 on that machine, it found over 4000 viruses on it! Mostly trojan horses! I ain't never seen anything like that in my entire life! Man, that PC must've been a training ground for a couple of hacker communities :) :1orglaugh

You should use fdisk utility to remove all this shit from her computer :)

Well luckily Kaspersky managed to clean it all out within an insane amount of restarts and a couple of weeks time. Cuz you know some trojans are nearly impossible to get rid of.. So now it ok I guess

My Mom just got a laptop and I am sure it has the same amount of viruses..I will see her next week and check it out!

My notebook is acting slowly and i always think : damned viruses. I check and find no viruses.... Notebook is still so slow....:(

Try searching for adware, it may slow you down too.
Another thing to consider is... increase the amount of RAM, that helps alot.

But sencerely i think i need to change it for the new one. This one is 2 years old. For the notebook it is already old. I even can't play my "Heroes" on it! because of the video :Oh crap
